We’re a company that cares, and we back it up with action. Contributing to our local community, foundations, and charitable organizations is a high priority on several levels. As a company, we make significant contributions to community causes and events and, as an employer, we encourage our employees to be involved in the community.

The Synergy Community Foundation

One of our key initiatives is the Synergy Community Foundation, which was founded in 2012 and is open to all Synergy employees. The Foundation is funded by Synergy Comp Insurance Company and Synergy Claims Management Company through the Pennsylvania Education Improvement Tax Credit Program.

This program provides tax credits to businesses that make contributions to K-12 Scholarship, Educational Improvement and/or Pre-K Scholarship Organizations. To date, the Synergy Community Foundation has provided $1,069,498.00 Pre-K scholarships and $144,000.00 K-12 Scholarships.

Employee Engagement in the Community

Every employee at Synergy Comp is offered a fully paid Volunteer Time Off day so they can participate in the community. This allows employees the opportunity to get involved in whatever form of community service interests them most and to pick the way they’d like to make a difference.

Team members also have the opportunity to participate and/or sponsor community events where they reside, including food drives, 5k walk/runs, and golf outing, among numerous other opportunities.

“Zion Education Center has been tremendously blessed by the support of the Synergy Foundation and the members of the board.  Because of their commitment to expanding access for underserved and disadvantaged preschool students, we have been able to reach children from several low-income housing communities and offer a high-quality learning experience, year-round.  The foundation has also been very instrumental in helping us transition students to kindergarten ready to learn and succeed against all odds.  Thank you for your continued support.”
