The Synergy Approach
We pride ourselves on being different from our competitors by our superior claims management. Our claim’s managers handle ⅓ of the industry average which allows us the ability to manage a claim effectively.
We strive to devote the time, attention, energy and resources needed to resolve each and every claim within 90 days of the date of injury.We work closely with our accounts, Safety Professionals, medical professionals, attorneys, and injured workers to resolve claims.
Along with facilitating communication, our claim’s managers utilize all available resources including independent medical evaluations, surveillance, and the workers’ compensation laws to maintain total control of the claim and resolve it as quickly and cost-effectively as possible.
We will provide the tools and training to handle claims in a more proactive, hands-on approach that differentiates us from others in the industry.
The ultimate goal is the resolution of the claim and this can only be accomplished when claims and loss prevention work hand in hand through a Synergistic Relationship.
The “Synergistic” Relationship
We define the “Synergistic” Relationship as the unique relationship that exists only through the interaction of claims and loss prevention working together with the employer to manage an account.
Loss Prevention is an important part in the Synergy Comp program which focuses on prevention of workplace accidents by implementing the Synergy of Safety (SOS) Program.
Safety Professionals conduct monthly safety audits which hold the supervisor’s accountable for the safety of their department. Department Safety Audits are based on 10 areas of safety and accountability, each scored on a standardized scoring criteria scale.
In addition to performing monthly safety audits, loss prevention consultants meet with employees to complete an Injury Review Process or “IRP” which is a meeting face to face with the injured employee. The “IRP” is done in a non-threatening way to establish what happened, how it happened and how to prevent future occurrences.
One of the most critical aspects of the Synergy Model, is the implementation of the “Back on Track” 5-phase Transitional Return to Work Program. The most critical aspect of this program is that the claim’s managers, Safety Professionals and employer are working together to ensure that all injured employees are placed in a transitional duty position that will support working restrictions.
