Synergy Comp Welcomes Matt Whisenant as Vice President of Underwriting
Synergy Comp is pleased to announce the appointment of Matt Whisenant as Vice President of Underwriting. In this role, Mr. Whisenant will lead the underwriting team, develop and implement underwriting strategies, drive profitable portfolio growth, and spearhead the expansion of Synergy Comp’s successful model into potential new markets.
Mr. Whisenant brings over 20 years of industry experience to this position. A native of Charlotte, North Carolina, he graduated from Appalachian State University with a BSBA in Risk Management & Insurance.
He began his career at Stonewood Insurance in Raleigh, NC, and subsequently held key underwriting roles at leading insurance carriers, including Ohio Casualty, Liberty Mutual, Utica National, FHM Insurance, and LUBA Workers Comp.
A dedicated professional, Mr. Whisenant has earned 16 industry-recognized designations throughout his career, including the prestigious CPCU.
